The Rennie Grove Hospice Care shops contribute more than £1.8million each year towards providing our nursing services. Almost all of this income is raised from sales of goods donated by our supporters. All our shops are run by dedicated teams of volunteers supported by local shop managers.
We sell good quality items at very reasonable prices and our shops have a reputation for being great places to pick up a bargain.
Our shops give us a vital presence in the towns and villages throughout our area and act as a focus for the communities where we work, involving local people as volunteers and acting as a point of contact for supporters and shoppers.
We welcome donations at all our shops and offices of good quality clothing, shoes, toys, jewellery bric-a-brac, most household goods, books, curtains, haberdashery, DVDs, CDs, computer games and furniture.
If you have a large quantity of goods to deliver, it may be worth contacting the shop in advance to arrange a convenient time.
We can now claim an extra 25% in Gift Aid on the value of the items that you donate. In terms of revenue, Gift Aid can make as much as a whole extra shop! So please ask your local shop manager about signing up to our Gift Aid scheme when you drop off donations or download a form and hand it in or post it to us.
We aim to recycle any items that cannot be sold, and recycling now plays a major part in our shops operation and makes a major contribution to our shops income.
Regrettably, we are unable to accept beds, upholstered items (such as sofas which do not comply with current fire regulations) and large electrical items (such as fridges and washing machines). We dont take videos because there just isnt the market for them anymore.
If you have a question about donating goods to our shops, please contact any of our shops or the Rennie Grove Retail & Trading office on 01442 827699, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
