History of the Village

Chalfont St Giles In Camera records the village's past, including Three Households and Jordans, principally through the camera — in postcards, published pictures and photos from family albums. It includes a brief history and a useful index to people and places.

FRONT COVER: `Somehow or other this view seems familiar to me, can you tell me where it is?'

If Miss M. Nash of Stonewall  Farm, to whom this card was sent earlier this century, replied, she

had only to look at the front, where it simply said: 'Chalfont St Giles from East of the Pond'. (HW)
