I give individual instructions and also run a Nordic Walking Group,
every Sunday at 8.30am.
To fully benefit from Nordic Walking it is essential to lean the correct technique from a qualified Nordic Walking UK instructor.
A course lasts for 4 weeks and after mastering the basic technique a NWUK Competence card will be issued.
Unlike trekking poles Nordic Walking poles are planted behind you in order to propel you along and this engages the upper body making you feel lighter on your feet.
There are 4 major advantages.-
1. You use 90% of your major muscles, thus the upper body, legs &
backside get toned
2. You burn 20-40% of extra calories
3. It takes the pressure of your knees and joints and is great for back and neck problems
4. You can get the most out of even a fairly short walk.
